VISUAL BASIC DEVELOPER

RSM Services seeks Visual Basic Developer to enhance and improve commercial software package now used at U.S. transit authorities. Must have expert coding skills in Visual Basic (VBA, VB6, VB.NET); working knowledge of Oracle, SQL Server and Access databases; and demonstrated ability to develop user-friendly applications. Applicant must have experience in developing client-server applications.

Coding skills in backend database with Oracle PL/SQL and SQL Server T/SQL is desirable. Experience with ArcMap GIS, include VB coding of add-on applications, is a plus. Experience with VB.NET coding of Pocket PC applications would be useful. Expertise in transit service planning, analysis and evaluation is helpful, in that our software aids agencies in conducting such work.

We are a small firm, but well-regarded within transit industry. In addition to a number of existing installations requiring maintenance and support, we have several ongoing contracts to install and customize our flagship software product over the next year. We require a self-starting, innovative software programmer to improve and extend the software's functionality.
